JONESBORO, IL (KFVS) - An Alto Pass pastor has bonded out of jail and stands accused of sexually abusing a child.

Bill Vandergraph, 72, made his first court appearance in Union County Friday.

A judge lowered his bond to $100,000.

Vandergraph heads back to court August 13 for a preliminary hearing.

He is accused of committing a sexual act with a child under age 13 sometime between January and May of 2010.

The victim's family watched the proceedings Friday.

Vandergraph is a well-known pastor in Alto Pass and chairman of a group that's renovating the Bald Knob Cross.
