Boonville — For the fifth time in the last six months, this morning a hearing was set to be rescheduled on the charges against former Boonville priest Gerald Howard in the 18th Circuit Court for Cooper County.

Prosecutor Doug Abele said the defense is still in the discovery stage of the trial and collecting depositions from people all over the country. He expected the next hearing to be scheduled for late February.

Howard, who once worked at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, faces charges on suspicion of three counts of forcible sodomy, three counts of attempted forcible sodomy and two counts of kidnapping.
