Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Irish Independent

You may have noticed (or maybe not, I'm not really that interested one way or another, to tell the truth) that the Catholic Church has been in a spot of bother lately. Something to do with kids or something. And the church has also been forced to shell out rather large sums of money to the victims.

But they have come up with an interesting trick -- by getting the kids to give them back their money.

Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise Colm O'Reilly has been struggling to restore his cathedral, St Mel's, since it burned down last year.

So, at a confirmation ceremony the other day, he suggested that the kids hand over a proportion of their confo money to help with the restoration.

It has been described by some as inappropriate emotional blackmail, but ISpy is actually rather impressed.

After all, children are pretty stupid, so they make an easy mark -- "all right kiddies, God wants you to give me your confo money. And you wouldn't want God to be angry with you, would you?

"What? No, I am not giving you a receipt, it will just rest in my account for a while ... "
